The 9171 Wilshire project included the renovation of the street facing planters and the creation of a rooftop terrace to an iconic mid-century high rise building. Additional terraced planters were designed along the storefront promenade, converting high water use plants to low water consuming plants that maximize visibility of the retail spaces, while creating an engaging space along Wilshire Blvd. A portion of the roof was converted into a landscaped terrace adjacent to an existing penthouse. Custom steel planters were constructed to create the exterior rooms and planting was kept low to maximize views of Hollywood Hills.
