The Commonwealth is a multi-family housing development on a 1.4-acre site that includes the historic Sheraton Town House built in 1929. Known for the iconic Zebra Room club once visited by Hollywood celebrities, the Sheraton Town House was designated an Historic Cultural Monument and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
The new structure will contain 142 units over 7 floors with two landscaped courtyards, Level 2 terrace, and rooftop garden with firepits and outdoor kitchen. The primary common open space is a 10,350 SF garden adjacent to the Sheraton. With views from the 13-story building in mind; landscape is design with geometric walking path, curved seatwall benches and plant massings. The west edge of the space is anchored with a large canopy and outdoor living room.
